UAV Hive is the home of the Twitter account @UAVHive that features commentary on drones, technology and videography. The conversation primarily focuses on northern England, though with a global network of like-minded technology experts, thoughts, questions, banter and memes often reflect on global events.
UAV Hive began life discussing the quality control, or often lack of, in software code in early multicopters, now referred to as drones. Since then, legislation, media coverage and claimed drone incidents are among the topics discussed, queried and dissected, often in a tongue in cheek manner.
In recent years UAV Hive has been at the forefront of analysing the received wisdom in regard to the alleged drone incident at Gatwick in 2018, utilising the Freedom of Information Act, public sources of information, alongside discussions with witnesses and global drone experts.
